  • Explanation of the specific socioeconomic, spiritual, lifestyle, and other cultural factors associated with the patient you selected.
  • Explain the issues that you would need to be sensitive to when interacting with the patient, and why.
  • Provide at least five targeted questions you would ask the patient to build his or her health history and to assess his or her health risks.

Socioeconomic, spiritual, lifestyle, and other cultural factors

Acknowledging different cultures is essential in dealing with a patient. There are specific practices that would affect the communication greatly and would impact to either success or failure in attaining a medical history and care. The case study involves an 86-year old Asian male. Asian parents are known to give instrumental support to their children until they succeed in life. Given the case scenario, it must be difficult for the father to be dependent on his daughter.

The practitioner must consider the said culture in making a plan of care. Being sensitive to cultural differences that may exist between the practitioner and the patient can help avoid miscommunication. It can intrude a successful communication if there is no effort for mutual knowledge and understanding (Ball, 2019).………please click the icon below to purchase full answer at $10
