Week One AACN score was 34/44. As a nurse who was a very integral part of designing and implementing our EHR, I felt as if I had a pretty good understanding of what role the Nurse informaticist (NI) played. Week Eight score was 36/44, not much of an increase, however, the interesting findings were that in week one, I, too, answered some of the questions as a 1 or 2 due to not fully understanding what they were asking. Now that I have the knowledge and the terminology, I comfortably and quickly scored myself, most falling into the “very good” category.
