Detail three measures that your health care organization (or any health care organization) needs to address in the delivery of safe health care services. (Example: Placing hand washing devices at all of the public entrances of the health care facility). Support your response with two peer-reviewed references.

ANSWER  

The National Patient Safety Goals (NPSG) are put in place to improve patient safety. The 2018 hospital NPSG’s are to identify patients correctly, improve staff communication, use medicines safely, use alarms safely, prevent infection, identify patient safety risks, and prevent mistakes in surgery (The Joint Commission, 2018). One goal my hospital has taken steps to address is using alarms safely.
