SOLUTION

Explain if big business leaders were “captains of industry,” “shrewd businessmen,” or “robber barons.”

Major business leaders enabled the restructuring of the economy in the 19th century, leading to people referring to them as Robber Barons and Captains of Industry. The major business leaders were influential and in the Golden Age, the character of the society was established. In their climb to the top, investors were misled by Robber Barons, who acquired enough resources to create more businesses while generating employment opportunities and stimulating economic growth. The big business leaders had a strong appetite for capital and profit was a top priority. The large business leader ensured that goods rates were too low for small companies to match and remain in business, using the control markets to do this (History.com Editors, 2019). After the supremacy, the global transition ensued and the influence of the revolution is still felt to date. It may also be argued that the forms that big business leaders use qualify them to be referred to as Industry Captains and Robber Barons.

Based on one of the resources noted for this option, assess American working conditions and exploitation of workers in the Age of Industry.

In the factories, more staff were needed when positions were available that demanded fewer skills. In the factories, however, the working conditions were very bad.….please click the purchase button below to access the entire at $10
