The New England and Southern Colonies

During the colonial era, the British colonized various regions across the land of America, which was then known as the Americas. Two of the core regions that the British took over were The New England and Southern colonies. These specific regions were occupied by English pilgrims throughout the 16th and 17th centuries. The main reason these English colonies were placed across America was that the population rate in Britain was booming, which caused the leaders to see this as an opportunity to reduce the flooding population through colonization. Thus, population outburst across England was one of the main origins of these colonies.
